To provide international students with the opportunity to experience a real clinical working environment in Vietnam, Vinmec Da Nang International Hospital organized a study visit for a group of medical students from India. The visit was led by Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, MD, PhD – Director of the International Medical Training Center, Dong A University, creating favorable conditions for students to gain deeper insight into a modern healthcare system and clinical practice within an increasingly globalized medical context.
During the visit, representatives and medical staff of Vinmec Da Nang warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the hospital’s history of development, operational scale, key specialties, and outstanding achievements. Students were also provided with an overview of advanced medical equipment, international quality management standards, and a patient-centered care approach. In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to observe clinical activities directly at several departments, allowing them to better understand interdisciplinary coordination in contemporary medical practice.
The program left a strong and positive impression on the participating students. Beyond experiencing a professional and modern healthcare environment, they were able to witness the dedication and high standards of care demonstrated by Vietnamese healthcare professionals. The visit contributed to strengthening students’ academic knowledge, broadening their perspectives on Vietnam’s healthcare system, and promoting academic and cultural exchange between countries.
Overall, the study visit to Vinmec Da Nang International Hospital represents a meaningful academic activity that enhances practical training quality for international medical students while opening further opportunities for collaboration in medical education and healthcare between Vietnam and India in the context of global integration.
